story of a young lady mother died in giving birth father abandoned the three children left them with her grandmother 20 years later she married her and her husband moved to a huge valley in the mountains of Colorado and the first few years there living came from furs and rattlesnakes when the trapping became scarce that another enterprise story filled with tragedy love suspense the adjustments that the family must make in the modernization that has its good points and it's bad the story is how life was lived from the early 1900s late 1800s of which is lady's life ended in approximately the middle 50s I can say part of this is fiction and part of it is nonfiction as I knew personally the character that is the main focus of the story I believed it to be a little unusual and interesting the life that she lived Living in a period when transportation was quiet and slow then one day a monster belching a loud noise the road with no horse in front of it from the time they first moved to their no home it was two weeks trip to get to town and her latter years of life the trip was only a couple hours this story begins with life of trapping till gold fever strikes and finally the settling down as a manager of a huge flock of sheep
