Faculty of Lies

When Fred Tarrasco retired from teaching, he thought he had his next career all locked up. It wasn't to be. A loving teacher for many years, Fred now found himself at loose ends. He had worked since he was twelve, become a full-fledged teacher at twenty-four, and now in his midfifties, was adrift. Many wonderful experiences to look back upon. Great students, many of whom he was a father figure to. Lots of laughs. Lots of terrific lessons and colleagues. But also, some nutcases. And outright criminality. Such is life. But Fred taught in Catholic schools and never thought such chicanery would occur among priests, nuns, and other assorted holy rollers. When he tried to reenter the life of his final school, his eyes were opened . . . as the knife was plunged into his back! Faculty of Lies tells the sad, but often amusing tale of the fictional Fred Tarrasco-a man who wanted to give unselfishly while others couldn't.
