Five years after her mother's murder, Carlen is having flashbacks about that day. She doesn't understand why since she didn't witness what happened. When she tries to talk to her father about it, he refuses to discuss the murder. Carlen explains that she needs answers so she can put the past behind her. An emergency causes Carlen to return to her hometown. While staying in the house where the murder took place, Carlen finds a clue to who killed her mother. The truth might be more than Carlen can handle, but it's also the only way to be free from what haunts her.
