In 2021, the fighting game series Mortal Kombat received a new and highly praised film adaptation after the campy adaptations of the 90s. The new film fully respected the brutal source material and delivered cinematic fatalities that made fans weak in the knees. Now a sequel has arrived, and it manages, if possible, to an even greater extent to bring the Mortal Kombat universe's entertaining and ultraviolent vision to life in a live-action setting.
