Brainwash EP

To its eleventh anniversary Festplatten is back with a new vinyl ep by the Teichmann Brothers. The Brainwash Ep is a foretaste of the new Teichmann album, which will be released in spring 2011. The titeltrack “brainwash” manoveres between all dance genres, but still it connects the different influences into a trippy and catchy Track. ItŽs based on a moog bassline jumping on a Roland TR 505 groove with a voicesnippet on top abused till its selfoscillation. The B1 track “Duracell/E-Baby is created out of a looped beat from an old Wersi drumcomputer. Originally built to add beats to the well known 70ies homeorgans, the Teichmann Brothers made a jacking rocker between Chicago and Berlin out of it. ItŽs one of these tracks that sound old and new at the same time. The final track on the EP is called “Stueck”, a kind of crazy discotrack, that reminds of Metro Area, but in a lofi version. Wersi circuits are also part of it and you can hear door by door studioneighbour Walker Barnard on the e-bass.
