WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES WANTS YOU DEAD?
That's the question faced by ex-Navy SEAL Trace Austin when the President decides he must eliminate the five people who know his deadly secret -- a secret which could send him to prison for the rest of his life.
Trace is one of the five people.
Trace's problem began with OPERATION TESTING GROUND -- the biological weapon attack launched by the U. S. government -- with the approval of the President -- against an American city as a secret homeland security experiment. Trace and his family, on vacation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, when the biological weapon attack occurred, suddenly found themselves trapped behind barbed wire, subject to quarantine and martial law.
But now the homeland security experiment is over and Trace is back home in Washington, DC. But the end of the experiment has not brought an end to Trace's problems. Now the President wants Trace dead.
Five people -- including Trace and his wife -- have the power to destroy the President by revealing his secret. The President is determined to eliminate these five people before he leaves Office and gives up his powers as President.
But Trace will not go quietly.
Trace will fight back against all efforts by the President to get rid of him.
He has no choice.
For as Trace reminds himself, when the President of the United States wants you dead, you can only resist, only fight back. There is no place to hide.
