The New River

There is a man-made canal beside the Meon river which runs two miles from Titchfield to the sea. However, its origins and purpose are a mystery. Nobody really knows why or when it was built. This booklet attempts to lay out what is known about the canal and by pulling together documents from many sources outline s a case which may account for much of the mystery,
