After riding the wave of rock stardom for over thirty years, the infamous band Twilight decided to semi retire and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Like the other members of the band, Shelby St. John, the drummer, had drank, drugged, and partied hard through the years. When the band went into retirement, Shelby and his wife of over thirty years moved from the glamour of Hollywood to Nancy's hometown of Auburn, Alabama, to settle down and live out their retirement years. Life in Auburn was great for Shelby until Nancy passed away. He had long since stopped using drugs, but turned heavily to alcohol, drowning himself in his grief. Hitting rock bottom, his world began to unravel. When things were at their worst, he decides to hike 2000-mile plus Appalachian Trail in hopes of finding solace and a way to put his life back together. The six month sojourn changes his life in more ways that he could have ever imagined.
