MARSHALL III, is a historian, storyteller and member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. His six previous books include "The Lakota Way: Stories and Lessons for Living, " for which was a finalist for the PEN Center USA award in 2002. Raised by his grandparents, Marshall exclusively spoke Lakota until the age of eight; his grandfather also taught him the primitive craft of making bows and arrows.
