Eagle Rises is the story of a thief, Eagle, from the streets that is forced to take the place of a Princess. Princess Elisia runs away to keep from being sent to the neighboring country to marry their Prince, Prince Edvard. Eagle agrees to play the role of the princess for a short time while they search for the real princess. She leaves her friends in their time of need and makes the long journey to becoming a princess. Eagle discovers the duties that she is expected to uphold and she tries to keep her personal beliefs alive while the world is pushing her down a darker path. She must discover what it means to be a real leader as the countries prepare to go to war. The novel examines the point of view of all the main characters and allows the reader the option of exploring the mind of different characters.
