"The Calling" is the first installment of a trilogy entitled "The Calling of a Disciple". It spans ten years in the life of Jim Reynolds, a young man who through a chain of events becomes a Christian and a Pastor. Jim returns from a mission he was called from the Air Force Reserves to participate in. He will finish his hitch in the reserves in three months Jim is a history buff. Because of his love for history and as he puts it another strange desire to return to the Middle East he immediately begins planning a return trip. In the beginning the characters are Jims' family, his lady friend, and one good friend. The list of characters grows at a fast moving rate as he progresses through spiritual growth, romance and adventure.
