1973 The West African country of Dajkouti has an unexpected coup when head of the country?s military operations, General Azizmo Fejethakti, removes the rightful ruler Joseph Hadjikata from the Presidential throne. A small mining town in the mountains is at risk as Fejethakti seeks to seize the mines of the British-American Corporation. There is a need for action and Prime Minister Stedman meets with COBRA to ensure the safety of the British citizens working in the mines and living in Haltjai. COBRA decides that Fejethakti must be swiftly removed from the Forbidden Throne, allowing Hadjikata to regain his throne and return the mining operations to a safe one. Archie Mellor and eight commandos are sent to see that COBRA?s decision succeeds. They have to depose the head of a powerful military Junta and open the way for the return of the rightful ruler against all odds. They succeed, though it is not without cost.
