Publisher Marketing: In this third in a series of novels (Not by Death Alone and Death by Proxy being first and second), Will Francis, professor of computer science at a small university in North Dakota, discovers he's the target of a religious extremist cult's hunt. Concerned that the town will suffer collateral damage from the threats made on Francis' life, the local Sheriff temporarily moves him to his cousin's house on a nearby Indian reservation. However secret the hiding place may seem, though, the cult finds him and the threats and attempts on his life continue. With few places left for him to go, Francis decides to attack rather than retreat. With skills he's learned through his expertise in martial arts, he finds the cult's headquarters and confronts the enemy. What he then discovers has implications for his research and his life, both real and artificial. For a most unexpected source is prepared to die for the cause, and take Francis along for the ride.
