Publisher Marketing: An object in Tom Birkenwald's neck suddenly explodes his brain with lucid dreams of another world. Aliens have trained him with knowledge of a future invasion-or have they, and when did this happen? His description of the far-away planet and its inhabitants is uncannily detailed. Tom, now retired, lives with his wife, Sandy, in a charming cottage on Lake Michigan. Sandy works in nearby fashionable Petoskey and rebuffs Tom's foolish notions-people will think he's gone mad. His best friend JJ, however, believes Tom and connects him with a persnickety old university scientist, Professor Freemont. Together they set out to uncover the stealth control of the object in his neck. Along the way, Toms encounters a local buffoon, Luke Dockwilder, with a similar experience and the fun begins. The screwball characters take Tom on a madcap romp to discover the truth, ending in an investigation of nursing home patients with similar dreams. Did Tom encounter an actual abduction, or is it a figment of an over-active imagination? He's on a collision course with the past and future when two distant world cultures collide to save the Earth. If true, there is a deadly secret tied to this abduction and others that carries a warning for all generations to come.
