Norman Gidney Cbe
Mr Gidney is not a minister; he became a Christian while serving with the special forces of the British Military Police in Italy. He is a layman who started his own business over fifty years ago and has traded in over one hundred countries in the world. He has been an industrial advisor to the British government and to HRH Prince Charles as a chairman of the Prince's Youth business Trust, which organisation trains and assists disabled and disadvantaged young people to start their own business. He was a director of the European Missionary Fellowship for over forty years, responsible for the development of indigenous churches in Europe. He has been a guest lecturer at Warwick University on the Masters business program, specializing in the liberating of human resource. He currently consults for banks and financial institutions on the Global economy and corporate recovery. In 1987 he was decorated by HM Queen Elizabeth with the high honour of being made a Commander of the most excellent order of the British Empire, for services to his country.
