A collection of verse and pictures by a writer previously known for drama and mysteries set in his native New Orleans. Written over a period of years, they are brought together for the first time. Black and white illustrations serve to identify the sections and topics for the reader. This collection of verse includes dramatic monologues a la Robert Browning, lyrics, romantic and philosophical, and travel verse chronicling the impact of the countries and their history on the traveler. Images of Italy, France, and England provide a mediation on the countries and the impact on the sojourner. The devastation of Hurricane Katrina is touched on as well as a few occasional verse written at other times.
