THE BLACK BUBBLE is a diverse piece of literature compiled by Barbara Sharik. Diagnosed with Alzheimer's, a form of dementia, she combined updated facts and findings about the dread disease with personal photographs and artwork; then interspersed these pages with poetry relating the disease. Unique in content, several gifted friends of the author, poets and bards each, contributed poetic words and are featured individually: Poet Laureate Hillol Ray, Seema Banerjee-Ray, Kerbouche Nourddine and Vincent Tesla. "We deal with things in many ways," says the author, "Writing is what I do. Compiling this tome provided another opportunity to fortify my personal foundation; putting another brick in the wall, helping to brace and keep me upright a little longer since my diagnosis.
