Death (noun) The action or fact of dying or being killed; the end of the life of a person or organism. The cessation of all biological functions that sustain an organism. Loss (lôs, läs) (noun) The fact or process of losing something or someone. Death and Loss As long as mortality plays a part in life, death is an eventual inevitability. It isn't desired for the most part, nor is it predominantly welcome. It is however, a part of every existence. Learning how to deal with death and loss is a part of life that nobody ever looks forward to, and is considered undesirable. Moreover, it is never a pleasant experience to endure. In order to better deal with such things as death and loss, it is also necessary to better understand them, and this understanding will help you to find a way to adjust to the adverse conditions often accompanying death and loss. Presently, there is no cure for death, it is as much a part of life as life itself, and until that day arrives where we can live forever, then we must learn how to live with death and loss.
