G. A. Henty
G. A. Henty was a 19th century novelist, special correspondent and Imperialist His best-known works are historical adventures. Of the more than 80 books written for young boys by Henty this is one of the most popular and for good reason. The accounts in this novel are historically accurate and were taken from a history written by Mr. Orme who lived during the same period as Lord Clive. When Clive arrived in India the British were traders and by the time he left the country the English were masters of much of the country. This narrative adventure is full of the battles and sieges undertaken by the British.
