Born in Jamaica, Cynthia Grenyion has a great sense of humour and possesses a positive outlook on life. She adores children and seeks to make them happy through multiple outlets. She is a trained and experienced literacy specialist and artistic development professional, whose passion is to eradicate illiteracy and promote education using creativity. She is the former president of the Jamaica Reading Association, an affiliate of International Reading Association. She is presently an education officer at the Ministry & Department of Education in Nevis, West Indies, and holds M. Ed and B. Ed degrees in literacy studies. Her first book, Hide and Seek (2007), was a catalyst to write other children's literature.
