In the month of June, 1952, Eudora Winningham leaves the sticky summer heat of Booneville, Mississippi, and embarks upon the great adventure of flying to France to spend time in Provence. The expedition in itself is almost taboo for a genteel southern lady, but that's not the most unique thing about this particular holiday. While trespassing on his land to find the perfect spot to capture the beautiful landscape onto canvas, Eudora meets Alain Philidor... and falls in love.
