2020 was a year straight out of devil's playbook. A famous actor died and the film industry became target of a witch hunt that spared no one, whether you smoked up or didn't! Though the intoxication was clearly felt by the largest democracy in the world. Executive, Legislature, Judiciary, Media the four pillars of our democracy started to show cracks. If that was not enough, Coronavirus made its entry and soon put straps on all our faces. These straps will one day go away, but what of the straps being forced on our democracy?
Too Much Democracy is a collection of satire laced poems that explore the heart of these questions, answers and contradictions. It is an entertaining mixture of politics, history, science, mythology and pop culture. Some of the poems from this collection have been a part of ""Too Much Democracy"", a popular poetry special show performed by Nakuul Mehta and directed by Ajay Singh, the author behind these poems.
