Procedural dermatology refers to the specialty within dermatology which focuses on the diagnosis, study and treatment through surgery of the diseases which affect the skin. It also deals with cutaneous appendages, hair, nails, mucous membranes and subcutaneous tissue. The procedures within this field are generally performed on outpatient basis and are minimally invasive.
