Scientists race against the clock and each other to save the world from a fast multiplying, cyanide-producing toadstool. PhD student Elnora Kingsley stumbles upon a new species of fungi-and a dead body-while doing research in Tasmania. When her supervisor forbids her to study the toadstool and its effects, Elnora sets up a lab at her rich aunt's estate, recruiting a smart, good-looking physics student to help. Soon they find out that Elnora's supervisor and his colleague want the toadstool for their own competing projects. Meanwhile the toadstool is spreading, and bodies are accumulating. Will Elnora and her team find a way to eradicate the toadstool and stop its killing spree?
