Seaweed Ribbons

After their friends have left for Long Doom, newly-wed Ginny and Raymond must prove their love against serious opposition in the matriarchal society of Saint Eyes. Raymond is trying to adjust, but the men of Saint Eyes aren't keen on helping the outsider ease into their ways. Ginny faces a very different challenge when she's asked to keep her husband in check with a good lashing, since he shows too much initiative and self-confidence. They decide to leave the security of Saint Eyes and head for Raymond's hometown. However, there is no easy route through wild land populated by different cultures in Corn World. And pretty young women are in high demand although not as superior wives... Can a lifeline of seaweed ribbons save the couple and their love?
