It is 1989. The Berlin Wall has fallen, but there are renegade Russians who refuse to leave the Congo. Gobi, a high school teacher at the American School in Kinshasa is kidnapped by these former Soviets and held for ransom. Gobi with his American teacher friend, Gilbert Wilson, learn that they are searching for the lost dinosaur believed to be living in the jungles of the Congo at a place called 'Devil's Mud.' In the Russian's hunt for the mysterious dinosaur, they capture Gobi's girlfriend, hoping to obtain a map that Gobi's father made while on the Ridel dinosaur expedition of 1969. It is a fact that there have been 34 scientific expeditions to the Congo searching for the lost dinosaur, but none of them have been as adventurous as this one.
