River Cruise Undercover

Eve Belot, fashion designer, arrives in Paris tired from a week of work in London. She has come to continue research for her business back home. On the walk to her hotel, she is accosted by two drunks, then saved by a journalist named Michael. A former colleague of her business partner's husband, Eve comes to trust Michael, who spends two days escorting Eve around the city. She is drawn to him, and when he receives an assignment to expose a philandering congressman. The assignment involves embarking on a river cruise on the Rhine River and he asks Eve to go along, pretending to be his wife, as part of his cover. Somewhat reluctantly, and fearing her inability for the impersonation, she decides to go, wondering what the adventure might bring, and not wanting to part from this man she wants to get to know better. While their roles as a married couple begin as pretend, romance soon blossoms and Eve begins to believe Michael might be the one. Romance and adventure build as the cruise progresses down the Rhine. With her posing as Michael's wife, they work together and finally get close enough to expose the congressman's misdeeds. But with the completion of the assignment, an unforeseen betrayal reveals Michael's dark past and threatens to destroy any future they might have.
