In the Key of Sea
Donna Burtch
This is the biographical summary of my father's long and sea-tossed life. Born during the Great Depression, he started with nothing, lost even more, and crawled his way out of poverty and a lack of education. His Navy years aboard the U. S. S. Strong and his education at St. Bonaventure University transformed him. His wife, former nurse, June Clark Burtch, gave him the stability he didn't know he needed. He had a rich career. His body gave out on him, in chunks, over time. He never wanted to give into death.
