Developing Freedoms focuses on Biblical themes of Freedom, Justice and Mercy. It extends these themes to a mission-minded and gospel-centered approach to Human Development through Amartya Sen's capabilities approach. It would be of particular interest those with a calling to integrate gospel proclamation with social justice interventions, particularly in poor and marginalized contexts. It provides an alternative, developing country narrative and uses illustrations from both global as well as African perspectives.
