In writing this book, I was very hesitant. In my hesitation, I begin to think that maybe a woman should write this book. I was very challenged to write about things that most preachers would never preach or teach about in their bible lessons. I have never read a Sunday School lessons that dealt with the issue of sexual assault. Many books that are written in the Christian arena do not address the issues that I will discuss in this book. The stories that I have written about are not very palatable. These are subject matters that I would not want to watch in a movie. In my opinion, these issues are not entertaining in real life or fiction. However, in addressing these types of issues, you can not turn them off in real life. There is not a remote control that will allow you to fast forward through these daunting issues. There will be people who will read this book and will wish they could turn it off or fast forward through their pain. This book is written for all the silent victims of sexual harassment and sexual assault. I pray that God will use this book to heal all the hurt and the shame that surrounds these heinous crimes.
