Not originally prepared for publication, The Pacifica Papers is a collection, as its subtitle intimates, of midlife meditations and musings toward a poietics (the creation of a language in th is case) and a celebration of writing in depth psychology during the author's graduate work as a doctoral student. Essays, presentations, literature and film reviews make up this collection. It is a book for students of depth psychology and readers interested in following the trace of a depth psychology student's trajectory, for each chapter contains comments from journals and personal reminiscences and reflections.




Though produced with an eye toward encouraging depth psychology students (particularly at the author's alma mater and erstwhile soror mystica), The Pacifica Papers is destined to become a classic for its accessibility provided to readers of all stripes wanting to know more about depth psychology in general and the grateful tending of and by the soul of the world by all its inhabitants.
