Brief Description: Niv's Inside the Bubble examines the lives of five Israeli women living in San Francisco and the struggles they face raising their families and understanding their identities all while situated in the wild epicenter of technological innovation. Description for Sales People: 1) A STORY OF FEMALE FRIENDSHIP: Displaced from their native land and struggling to adjust to a foreign culture, the women of Inside the Bubble form close ties to help each other overcome their homesickness and to support each other as each woman confronts her own set of difficulties. 2) AUDIENCE: The author, Noga Niv, emphasizes the importance of retaining cultural community in the face of a radically different American lifestyle. Although the story focuses on Israelis, Niv hopes that the story will be accessible and meaningful to all immigrants. The core audience for this book is older, female, foreign-born (mostly likely Israeli). 3) JEWISH/AMERICAN ANGLE: Part of our pitching plan includes reaching out to top Jewish websites, Jewish organizations, Jewish themed literary magazines and popular Jewish newspapers in America. First published in Hebrew in Israel (2008), we're excited to introduce this English version to an American audience. 4) PSYCHOLOGICAL ANGLE: Just like the author, the novel's protagonist, Daniela, is a clinical psychologist. She helps her friends grapple with the difficulties of raising children away from their cultural homeland, with the echoes of past memories, with the changing faces of their marriages, and with the evolution of their womanhood during middle age. The central themes of the book are about reconciling past and present solidifying identity and the Jungian process of individuation how we become our full selves in the latter halves of our lives."Review Quotes: "A modern-day Mary McCarthy...
