God's Little Sunshine is about my granddaughter Kaiden and how she was born into the world with a brain abnormality that should have taken her life. Kaiden was born without the top portion of her brain and she was not supposed to live pass the age of 3 months, but with a lot of love from all her caregivers she has pulled through. Our main source of strength has come from God. We believe that he gave Kaiden a miracle and that is called life. I call her God's Little Sunshine because when she smile it's like the sun and you can feel the love she gives. Kaiden is eight years old and I am so appreciative of her parents for sharing her with my husband and I. We would not have it any other way. We never complain about the care we give to her it is our pleasure. Kaiden is resilient she has been through a lot and fights every day to live. As her grandmother I believe it is my job to help her parents take care of her. It is a pleasure and every day I spend with her I get closer and closer to her. I am not afraid to let her into my heart. We never know when she may leave us for good, but until then we all plan to love and comfort her as much as we can. I do believe she is in the hands of God and we trust him to take care of her.
