The Boy Who Hated Numbers

JOSE ROSELL ARRANGUEZ, JR.

Comes from the Philippines. He earned his B. S. in English from the University of the Visayas in the City of Cebu. Before he came to the U. S. A. Jun was working as Media Production Specialist II in the Department of Agriculture Region 7. As such, he was the editor-in-chief of its bimonthly publication. He produced documentary films on agriculture, wrote news and feature stories related to agriculture and published fiction and poetry in local and national magazines.

In November 1994, Jun and his family migrated to America and for some time worked with the NC Department of Revenue in Raleigh. Towards the end of 2013, he retired from his job and devoted his time to writing. He had published Reminiscence, a historical fiction now available for adult readers and currently writing Beau, the Super Bronco, another book for the children.

Jun lives in Holly Springs, North Carolina with his wife and three children. Rez Robby, the youngest in the family inspired him to write this story and helped him build up the conflict between the giant Tenten and the boy Rebmun.
