Jordan Landon's idyllic life becomes a nightmare when he arrives home one day to find a brief emotional note from his wife Jillienne. She said she had to go away, and it would be futile for him to try and find her. It was. She had vanished without a trace. It was one day before their thirty-first anniversary.




Two years later, and still no word from Jillienne, Jordan agrees to see Virginia Teal, a therapist, hoping that she can help him with the guilt and despair that is always with him. They come to share a unique friendship. He meets another woman who falls in love with him. Things go terribly wrong when he shuns her.
