Yscariot, the titular character, is a teenager who juggles between living with a life-threatening disease and fitting in at his high school on a daily basis. He and his friend are the targets of bullying, he likes a girl who only sees him as a friend, and he can only watch other kids engage in martial arts activities from the bleachers. While on a field trip in a foreign land, he faces a near death experience while attempting to save a young girl's life. In a strange turn of events, his life changes in unimaginable ways when a seemingly aged sorcerer rewards him with the mystical Sphere of Light, a godly energy source known to enhance the abilities of warriors and sages on a far away planet, which he inherited for his previous act of bravery. In exchange for receiving his gift and superhuman power, Yscariot, with the help of his cousins and new friend, vows to fend off a powerful alien looking to enact revenge on his master and retrieve the Sphere of Light.
