Rob Schroeder, who gave us the Peter Fontaine book series, has entered the realm of the extremely popular fiction genre of psychological thrillers. The first book of this new series is Asylum, which tells the tale of a brilliant yet troubled psychiatrist who is precariously going from one reality to another while dealing with pure evil at the state psychiatric hospital where he works. As he slowly takes the road less traveled, he uncovers a conspiracy of devils. He then decides to lay everything on the line, including his life and soul, to defeat evil and save the lives and souls of the patients of the restricted ward.
