Trafficking in Retribution
Joe Henry
Kevin and Amy Stevens appear to be average Americans ready to live out a typical existence - until they find faith in God and are assaulted by the horrific tale of millions around the world who are ensnared by sex traffickers. The tragic stories behind the numbers lead them into gritty rescue work alongside another committed couple in a large Southeast Asian city for more than a decade. However, when the flow of traumatized victims and perverted customers and corrupt officials never ceases, Kevin snaps, picturing his wife and daughters being victimized and slowly but inevitably having their souls and humanity torn apart. That incites Kevin to recklessly snatch one sex-trafficking victim off the street in a vengeful attempt to make her the sympathetic face of this brutal crime industry in order to create intense worldwide pressure to fight it. What he doesn't know is that this beautiful, intelligent, innocent victim is meant to be a gift for the police colonel who allows this dirty business to thrive in his district because of the bribes he and his subordinates receive. That's when the trafficking bosses, their enforcers and the police colonel ruthlessly go after Kevin and his friends in order to exact revenge and to get back their property. As the trap begins to shut, how will the families and their agency keep from being destroyed by the merciless men demanding retribution?
