Vox Populi PR empezo hace aproximadamente cinco anos despues de visitar Nuyorican Poet's Cafe y ver que lo unico necesario para lanzar un Open Mic era un local que nos apoyara y talento dispuesto a participar. El nombre de Vox Populi viene de una frase en latin que se puede traducir como "Voz Publica" o "Voz del Pueblo," una idea que queriamos recalcar desde el principio: estos eventos serian para el pueblo, por el pueblo. Con esto en mente, empezamos a crear Una serie de Open Mics en el area Oeste de Puerto Rico. When the Vox Populi Open Mics started, it was basically a group of artists performing for free in Mayaguez bars. Today, the same formula remains intact, yet one can easily gauge the growth we've experienced in the past five years. We are not perfect. We've had our fair share of fuck-ups and empty shows, but if there's one thing I admire in this group, it's its tenacity. Five years later and we're still making art, performing, progressing and evolving.
