There, she finds troubling information about her past, the Council's reign, and a risky spell that could change everything. Before Cylestra and her friends can even begin to formulate a plan, old enemies resurface and attack them from all sides. The Renegades scatter to keep control of a terrified populace while Csenfeisna's band of heroes is torn apart from within the city. Hope is dwindling, and it's up to Cylestra and her ragtag bunch of faerie and human companions to set things right. Spells are cast, secrets are unearthed, lives are lost, and love is found in the midst of a race against time.
