This book addresses the issues of information integration . It provides an architectural framework for service oriented information integration using the new information strategy - information as a service along with service-oriented integration and semantic mapping of data in order to deliver information on demand. The framework is projected towards business agility and to provide flexibility as the crux of it. To address these features in the framework the proposed system has adapted three capabilities federated access to distributed sources, decoupling information from the silos in which it is buried and integrating legacy and inflexible heterogeneous systems
