Courtney Danvers has her entire life planned out ahead of her, and nothing is going to drive her off of her route. That is until Heber Springs' beloved party boy, Tate Bradon, suddenly takes his own life and leaves the entire town questioning how well they really knew him. Two days after his suicide, Courtney receives a letter addressed to her by the boy she'd never spoken to. While tempted to throw out the letter and move on with her life, Courtney knows that there's something more to it if some of Tate's last moments were spent writing to a girl who'd never paid him a second of mind. When Tate's older brother, Trevor, returns to help his family and questions Courtney on the letter, she decides that the only way to keep on her route is to take a detour and help Trevor uncover the truth behind Tate's decision to bring upon his own demise. The only issue? Helping Trevor throws Courtney's route into the ditch. Will Courtney find her way back along the path of redemption? Or will Trevor make her lose herself forever?
