Dementia, the Journey to Darkness (Jackie's Story)
Delilah
Dementia, is akin to being in prison for a crime you didn't commit. A crime you never knew was happening or even going to happen. You are trapped within its bars screaming for release. It's as if you're trapped in a bad dream or worse, a nightmare. Subconsciously you hear yourself begging for someone to hear you, see you and help you regain your freedom and independence, but you are alone. You see the faces of people claiming to know you, claiming to love you, claiming to be your friends and family but they aren't. They are empty faces, somewhat familiar but still your mind tells you they are not who or what they are claiming to be.
