I believe that the 1611 King James Version of the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and preserved word of God but since the Revised Version of the Bible was published in 1885, there has been controversy over which version of the Bible a Christian should read and study. Much of what has been written on the topic lacks Christian compassion and tends to insult or ridicule those who hold a different opinion. Some arguments against the 1984 or 1996 NIV are no longer appropriate, as that Bible has undergone another revision as of 2011. The purpose of this book is to systematically explain what the Bible is, how it came to be, changes that have been made, and how those changes affect the Bibles we have today. The facts are presented, and the reader is encouraged to make up their own mind which Bible they should choose. For those who might use this book to help prepare for devotionals, Sunday school lessons, or sermons, outlines have been included.
