Lake Tahoe - Fernando Eimbcke

Fernando Eimbcke directs this quiet Mexican drama starring Diego Catano as Juan, a teenager who crashes his family's car in his backwater hometown while rushing off to an undisclosed destination. Following the accident, Juan sets out along the streets of the town in search of someone to help him fix his car. Along the way he encounters various oddball characters including elderly mechanic Don Heber (Hector Herrara) and his beloved dog Sica, young mother and punk band wannabe Lucia (Daniela Valentine) and martial arts fanatic David (Juan Carlos Lara II).

As the day unfolds and Juan makes a tentative connection with the people he has met, he is finally able to find the strength to face up to a recent family tragedy.
