US comedy starring Steve Martin as Dr Michael Hfuhruhurr, the world's most brilliant brain surgeon and inventor of pioneering screw-top brain surgery. After accidentally injuring her with his car, Michael marries cold-hearted Dolores Benedict (Kathleen Turner), who delights in keeping him at arm's length. On their honeymoon in Austria Dr Hfuhruhurr meets Dr Necessiter (David Warner), a fellow brain surgeon who has discovered a way to maintain living brains in his laboratory.
After discovering his wife is having an affair, Michael falls in love with Brain 21 aka Anne (voice of Sissy Spacek) from Dr Necessiter's lab. With her condition at risk of deterioration, can Michael find Anne a new body before it's too late?
