Rachmaninov: Piano Concerto No.3 Limited edition

Leif Ove Andsnes's landmark recording of Rachmaninov's epic Piano Concerto No. 3, with the London Symphony Orchestra and Sir Antonio Pappano, is now released on vinyl.

"The passion burns from within in this incendiary account," wrote The Observer when the recording was first released in 2010. "The amplitude of Rachmaninov's melodies, the rich scoring and the insistent Russian melancholy are most potent when kept under control. The poetic, muscular Andsnes, sensitively and glitteringly accompanied by Pappano and the LSO, does just that."

As Andsnes has said: "It is an experience to play this piece. A physical and emotional experience ... It's a pianist's piece - a sensual pleasure to play."
