BBA, a short-lived supergroup consisting of Jeff Beck (Guitar/Vocals), Tim Bogert (Bass/Vocals), and Carmen Appice (Drums/Vocals), experienced a meteoric rise during their brief time together. One significant milestone in their journey was the release of their self-titled debut studio album, "Beck, Bogert & Appice," in 1973.
Capturing their electrifying live performances, BBA recorded a show at Koseinenkin Hall in Osaka, Japan, on May 18th and 19th, 1973, which later became the album "Live In Japan," available only in Japan and now out of print for quite some time.
Recently, a thrilling discovery came to light when Jeff Beck's team stumbled upon previously unreleased live recordings from their concert at the Rainbow Theatre in London on January 26th, 1974. The original masters were cleaned up with the blessing of Carmine Appice, Tim Bogert, who passed away in 2021 and Jeff Beck, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
Now, after five decades, these exceptional live shows will finally see the light of day and be officially released as "Beck, Bogert & Appice Live 1973 & 1974."
