Featuring Sadness, its bones bleached behind us, Fred's only full composition for Synclavier, You are what you Eat and The palace of Laughter, the Technology of Tears - both performed by an ensemble consisting of Fred Frith, John Zorn, Christian Marclay and Tenko. Complexity, incongruity, slow evolution, surprise and a thoroughgoing musicality. Also included on this CD is another dance piece from 1986, Jigsaw, this one assembled in the studio by Fred playing layers of guitar, violin, bass, drums, samples, piano and voice, with some additional trombone from Jim Staley.
