"Born To Be Wild" made Steppenwolf suddenly famous. But this was not the only hit of the band, which conquered the radios from Los Angeles starting in 1967. "Gold: Their Great Hits" from 1970 was the band's first best-of album with a total of eleven tracks, including "Hey Lawdy Mama" and "Magic Carpet Ride." In addition to the powerful songs, the production and recording quality are also impressive.
